Becoming a Wushu Judge whether in Taolu or Sanda can be a rewarding activity, and can lead to many new experiences and friendships.  Opportunities may become available at a National, Continental or International level that could take you to many countries and many events - both modern and traditional wushu.  The first step is becoming a nationally recognised Judge with New Zealand Wushu.

Becoming a Wushu Judge

Please read the document below for information on how to become a New Zealand Wushu Judge and the criteria for progressing through to a Head Judge, which is the step before being considered to attend an International Wushu Federation (IWUF) International Judges' Examination Course.  Other things you can do to get a good over-view of judging is to read the Rules for Taolu and Sanda Competitions, and also look at videos of Taolu and Sanda Competitors.
