1. Recognised by the New Zealand Olympic Committee (NZOC) as an Associate Member; 

2. Long standing role as the peak governing body for Sport and Traditional Kung-Fu Wushu in New Zealand. As of March 2025, the Federation is in the process of applying for National Sport Organisation (NSO) recognition/re-recognition due to changes to SportNZ criteria introduced in October 2024;   

3. New Zealand’s official representative since 1990 to the International Wushu Federation and since 1998 to the Oceania Wushu Federation;
