 | Pictured left is 11 year old Diana Traize, a rising star from Kazakhstan who showed great skills and commitment at the International Wushu Federation's 3rd World Junior Wushu Championships held in Singapore between 2-10 December 2010. The event showcased some amazing wushu talent from around the world, including Diana's team mate 17 year old Yevgenya Ragulina who won gold (see medal presentation below). New Zealand Wushu is currently working with several Kiwi Kids towards the 2012 World Junior Wushu Championships. Watch this space!

Success for New Zealand Wushuat the 1st Australasian Wushu Championships Sydney. Dave Thew 2 x gold medals; Diana Lau 2 x gold medals; David Wong 1 x gold and 2 x silver medals; Mercedes Godinez 1 x silver and 1 x bronze medals, Harris Thien 1 x gold and 1 x silver medals; and Deja Finn 2 x gold medals. Total 8 gold, 4 silver, 1 bronze.

Success for New Zealand Wushu at the 4th World Traditional Wushu Championships, Shiyan China. Dave Thew gold 42 step tai chi, silver 32 tai chi sword. Vitali Muhin silver Xing Yi Quan (long staff), bronze Bagua Zhang (bare hand). Total 1 gold, 2 silver, 1 bronze.
